If you like the vintage look of furniture, it's easy to recreate it on an existing desk. Upcycle a thrifty find, or use what you own. Aged Glaze gives a handcrafted, antique look to your wood.
PREP: Coat your desk with Chalked Ultra Matte Paint, following the directions on the can and let it fully cure.
Stir the glaze thoroughly and gently with a stir stick.
APPLY: Over a drop cloth, use a 2” synthetic brush or a 2” foam brush to coat the surface with the Chalked Decorative Glaze. Be certain to apply it in all corners, crevices and raised panel sections.
Using cheesecloth, wipe the surface (using varying pressure) to remove the glaze to a desired look. On wood surfaces, wipe off in the direction of the wood grain.
DRY: Let dry a minimum of 8 hours before applying Rust-Oleum Matte Clear Protective Topcoat. The Clear coat is optional, but highly suggested for optimal service life.
