In this blog, we are going to be making a set of geometric painted wall art.
- Start with 9 wood squares at 5in x 5in. You can have the wood cut at your local hardware store if needed.
- Lightly sand the wood with a fine grit sandpaper to smooth the surface and then remove the dust with a damp cloth or tack cloth.
- Use masking take to create a frame around the wood.
- Paint the center of the square pieces of wood with Chalk Paint and apply about 2 thin coats.
- Remove the masking tape and draw freehand drawings with black markers Let the paint fully dry for a couple of hours.
- Finish the art by applying 2 thin coats of Varathane Diamond Wood Finish to protect the surface.
And there you have it. You can apply hangers on the back and hang the pieces of wood on the wall.
